Dr. Nora Perkins, a brilliant yet eccentric molecular scientist, is on the cusp of completing a genome-edited therapy in the battle against metastatic breast cancer. But before she can capitalize on her breakthrough, her world unravels: her lab is raided by federal agents, and an estranged relative dies on death row, leaving her a mysterious lakeside estate.

Coincidence?

Broke and with few options left, Nora travels to upstate New York to sell the property. But a series of disturbing incidents draws her deeper into the estate’s history and the secrets buried there.
